PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
HARDLUX metal effect DIRECT DTM topcoat is an anticorrosion coating for protection and decoration of metal surfaces. It is pigmented using micaceous iron oxide (MIOX) to achieve special texture. The product combines the best properties of primer and top coatings. Due to its anticorrosion properties, it can be applied directly onto rusted metal, steel, aluminium and to all kinds of old coatings, which are still in good condition and show good adhesion.
APPLICATION
Different production batches of HARDLUX metal effect DIRECT DTM topcoat must be cross mixed before use. Coating is applied by spray, brush or roller. On well prepared surface apply 2 coats of the topcoat. For protection of metal surfaces in aggressive environments, one layer of HARDLUX HB primer is recommended. KEMODUR S primer or Kemepox Wash primer must be used as a first coat in the protection of galvanized or cooper surfaces. For the best result in process of surface protection remove all free and large rust particles, grease and moisture. A different optical effect is possible due to the strokes
of the brush/roller during application of HARDLUX metal effect DIRECT DTM topcoat with a brush or roller; so it is necessary to apply the coating in same direction.
CONSUMPTION
0,20 l /m2 for two coats (2 x 40 μm).
